My overhead display will work fine for a while, and then show ccd until I shut it off. Is smarty messing with it or is it something else?

seems as ifI read somewhere it's asking you to drive in a large circle 3 times in less than a certain ammount of time to calibarate the compass.

look in your owners manual.

not kidding, if it has to do with calibration. you have to circle up the wagons.

look in your owners manual.

Mine did that too! I thought it was because it was 110F outside temp but then realized I got into the calibration mode will messing with it while driving. Look in your owners manual to recal it.

I have had this happen a few times to my truck. Do the gauges also go dead and the odo show no bus when the overhead shows ccd? If it does, it has to do with the can bus communication with the pcm. Try cleaning all the underhood connections with contact cleaner and then using dielectric grease on the connections. This includes the big connector at the underhood fuse box along with all the grounds. I also unhooked the batteries and let the computer reset. You might also want to remove the gauge cluster and clean those connections as well.

Mine does the exact same thing. Try looking under the dash / steering wheel at the main wiring harness going into the electric box, jigle some of the plugs with numerous wires coming out and see if that makes a difference. I used to crawl under the dash and wiggle it by hand, now i just take my left foot and tough it; it does the trick. I really need to fix it though.
