Direction of Donaldson inline filter?

Direction of Donaldson inline filter?
is there a correct direction this is supposed to go? there are no markings or instructions on the filter or box. Look at the old OEM filter in the old in tank cannister. no wonder the IP died

most of the inline filters were marked with a arrow or inlet. if nothing call donaldson and ask on the product. that is strange to not have a mark or stamp.
