Difference between 7200lb and 8000lb GVWR brake rotors

Found a kit on e-bay for 7200 lb rotors and pads for the front for a starting bid of $64. What is the difference between the 7200 lb rotors and the 8000 lb rotors? I have an 8000 lb GVWR truck.

I believe it is significant. You could go to a parts store and have them pull both.

8000 lb GVWR??? Are you sure? I have only ever heard of 7500 and 8800 lb GVWR's for all 2nd gen 2500's. To my knowledge, all 2nd gen 2500 CTD's were 8800 lb GVWR.

I know that the 4850 lb GAWR D60 front on the 8800 lb GVWR trucks uses a different bearing hub assembly part # than the lighter version D60 so it does stand to reason that the rotors may not be compatible either. I can't say what the differences are for sure since I have never worked on a light duty 2500 - I just know the part #'s are different.

Thanks, I stand corrected, it is 8800 lbs. Just missed a number a few times there. They also sell the 8800 lb set for right at $99. The brand is Lomandi, anyone ever heard of them?

Never heard of them.
Check at www.tirerack.com I believe you can pick up high quality Brembo rotors for a much better price. Last time I bought some for a '97 there they were $52.
