That was crap. I will say that was a badass burnout the ford did. I know duramaxes are fast, no surprise in that drag race though I dont think the guy driving the dodge knew how to drive. I have that same pickup and it will scoot. I did like the hill climb but the tow tests were dissapointing. All good looking trucks no doubt.

That was a dumb test. A drag race and burnout contest, I missed the hill climb after, fortunately. I lost interest after the "burnout" test, oh brother. That is what people buy a 1 ton diesel for? I would have suggested a towing test with fuel consumption. I want that 20 minutes back that was wasted on the truck shootout.

that was an embarasment to man kind. right of the bat they were saying dodge couldnt win cause it only had six cylinders. clearly they tested a 350/650 ram against the the 400/800 give or take gm and ford. of course the ford was a f450 which comes with something like 4.55 gears and claimed it towed 280,000 pound train with a 15k tow strap!! pure garbage test

I would've like to have seen a test with 20k lb fivers hooked to them for a thousand miles each. Then report back on the MPG & variables about all three trucks.

That would make more sense but it wouldn't be very entertaining to the masses. I did find the show entertaining though...even though it was a useless test.

Starting in about a week I will be pulling about 38K with the 2011 Ford and 2010 Dodge in my signature. They should get about 2500 miles each.
I am really curious how the new ford will do.

I plan to run the Dodge on the stock setting at first. See how it runs with the ford at first. power and mileage wise.

The show is purely for entertainment. That said, a more practical test (and entertaining) would have been to have a tug-o-war on asphalt.
I'm pretty sure the OEMs that loaned them the trucks didn't want that though...would have been embarrassing for the Ford to spit out the front driveshaft and the Chebby to throw a rod.

The dodge was definetly was not a HO. it clearly didn't have the decal on the tailgate.

To bad they didn't find a local truck pull to enter all 3 trucks.

Exactly, this show is JUST for laughs, they have NEVER done a real comparison of anything. That being said, I love it, more laughs per minute than just about any show out there!!
