diesel leak--help
I discovered some diesel leaking from the back part of the fuel filter, it appears to be coming from the top part of the cannister on the back side (firewall). I only looked at briefly but are there two or three hoses going in that area? IS this common and what is the best way to fix?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Step 1 will be to determine EXACTLY what is leaking. Clean the canister with some brake parts cleaner and compressed air to get everything dry. Have an assistant turn the key ON but not start, to get the lift pump putting pressure on the line and canister. Should be able to see where it is coming from, although you might need a flashlight and inspection mirror to really get a good look. Could be hoses, fittings, or the canister itself. Good luck with it.

I got to looking at it with a flashlight and it appeared the o-ring appeared to be uneven and/or pinched. I simply unscrewed it and slowly tightened it back up and it went smoother. I ran the engine and no leaks yet--I hope that was it.
