?? for the diesel gurus!

Hey All,

Fuel prices have me carpoolling to work.
My numbers are thus:

200 miles in 2 weeks (10 miles (1 way) for 10 days)
The other 2 weeks are much longer, so the engine will be fully warmed for each trip.

My concern is the 'light' weeks with the 10 mile rides?

Some info:
Truck is garaged (~53 degrees) w/ block heater on timer when home.
The h2o temp gauge is moving off 140* before I'm off my block and up to temp
after about 3-4 miles.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Joe

Moving it off the 140 mark is good I think. A lot of the times during the winter mine doesnt make it off of that since I park outside and it concerns me a little and will take a bit more than 3-4 miles to make it to that temp for me...I wouldnt worry about it

3500lly,

Thanks for the reply. I'm probably overly cautious with the beast, and will get less so after owning it for awhile.

Cheers,
Joe
