Re:WHERE DID THEY PUT IT????
Thanks spots. I went out and looked, need a ladder to get to it, and a long arm. Mine looks like it might be a "Yellow Lever".
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

I couldn't remember whether the lever was yellow or not so I didn't want to set you astray. Yeah it is a bit of a reach but takes all of 2 seconds to drain it. Check the Ferd forum about draining the 6.0 PSD one... :

Re:WHERE DID THEY PUT IT????
Thanks but no thanks . I test drove (tried to) a 6.0 Ford after driving the Dodge but the thing cracked-popped-and clunked without really starting. And it was new setting on the FRONT ROW at the dealers lot. I don't want anything to do with that motor.

The fuel water separator is indeed on the drivers side back towards the fire wall. The drain lever on mine is yellow. Best access I found was from over the drivers fender while standing on a milk case. Pete

Actually...my owners manual says to do it with every fill up! From everything I've read on here though...that is overkill. Do it with every oil change and you'll be ahead of the game.

Re:WHERE DID THEY PUT IT????
I do it before every long trip (monthly) and more often in the winter, there is more chance for water in the winter here because of cold fuel and condensation. I think every fill-up would be good for potential condensation problems associated with freeze/ thaw time frame at 30 degrees or so. There are few problems with water in the northern climates in the cold- since water becomes ice. Us southern states have more water problems in the winter.

have any of you drained into a glass and actually seen any water in the fuel? We had similar setups on our TDI's and never has any water been seen.....
