Did Smarty Jr. Undo 2005 OD lockout flash?
I've had the Smarty Jr. on level 2 for about 2-weeks now. So far, so good, lower EGT’s and lots of smooth power. Haven’t towed with it yet though. Today, while going down an off ramp, I switched to tow haul to help slow down. I kept it in tow haul and to my surprise, OD kicked in. Before Smarty Jr, I had the dealer flash the high idle and unfortunately he did the OD lockout too. I decided that I didn't like it as well as the original tow haul mode that just changed the shift parameters on the 05. The dealer told me he couldn’t flash back to original. Unless my senility is getting worse, Smarty took me back to the original 05 tow haul mode.
In my opinion that nearly covers the cost of the Smarty. Thanks for a great product.

If Smarty Jr is anything like the software upgrades for the Smarty, you will find the latest update from Chrysler along with it. That is an issue with the Smarty where some people would like to go back to a previous version because they like the smoke, or something, but they cannot do it because it may have an older version of the Chrysler program and it will cause your ECM to branch to an address outside to boundaries of it memory, and it will crash and burn...
The Smarty programming always seem to fix something that is wrong.
