Funny, last week at work a Cummins West truck was parked in the basement (Power stroke just like the pictures above). The mechanic was servicing the big Cummins we use as a generator. I asked/told him of how odd was to see a Cummins thec driving another brand. His response was that with all of the weight they put in the bed, they needed a 450/550 size truck. Then he added that in order to reach the bigger size Ford with the Cummins in it would be more costly, like another 12K to 15K dollars for the unit.

there are only a few of the Ford field trucks, and they spend more time in the shop at Ford then out making money on field jobs. Cummins West cant stand them.

Our local Cummins dealer is still using 2nd gen 3500 for work trucks. I see them when they come by to service our standby generators.

I agree, it is a disgrace... Unless that truck has a cummins in it, it looks bad for a Cummins Service dept to be driving around in a powerstroke..

Looks real bad...

Why not put one of their own motors in this truck?
