Where did all the 4bt's go?

It seems as though they have all but disappeared.I saw the prices run up over the last couple of years on that auction site, but now only the export versions.I could only afford the 1 that I purchased in 07.I called Adelmans..no go.Arsco must be trying to support a crack habit at the prices they want.Dovebid only has non running stripped out junk now.I just purchased a Burb with a 6.2/Banks turbo. It actually runs great, but a 4bt/NV4500 would suit me better.

Why not go with the 6BT? Still get good fuel economy and also make a great tow pig. I assume this is going into a 3/4T?

yes,3/4 ton.I really like the 4's for less weight and a tad shorter(length).I bought the old burb for a beater and have a 04 Ram 3500 to tow with.Kinda wanted the neat factor also.I have sev people interested in the 6.2/banks.Thought I could use it to offset the cost of the 4..but..prices seem to have almost doubled since I bought mine for the Jeep.

Yea, makes me wish I would have bought a few more myself...

Keep an eye out on Fleabay, and perhaps keep your eyes open on 4btswaps classified section.

Still going to be 2K or more........

Adelmans got me for 2100 with trans(4bta/475 thick BH case,120 hp) in 2007.I ended up using a 46rh,so I have the wavy ring, adapter ect to bolt to the diesel turbo 400 in the burb.I may end up with a 6bt instead and they are cheaper than the 4bt.Still have the 475 laying here.I noticed the other day that it has external line pressure adjustment.I wonder how well they would perform(shifting ect)
