What do yall think about doin a convoy roadtrip/meet in October, and driving down to the DHRA in Baytown? We could head out on that Friday afternoon, and have a good time down there for the weekend. Let me know what yall think.
N. Tx DTR #8 Club has many that go every yr!
Need to leave earlier so you can drag race Friday afternoon! :D

A good friend of mine is president of the diesel club at A&M, and we made a big convoy down there last year. It was a lot of fun, and you can camp there at the place. Or at least they let us do that last year. I might have something already going that weekend, but if not then I like the idea of making a convoy down there.

I'd be up for trying to go, I went last year with Matt. It was really awesome and def. try to go again. I might drive my truck there or I may try to ride along with someone again....not sure yet.

Fuel costs are opressive to me this year so I might ride down with someone or I might find something constructive to do at home that weekend (yeah right). [duhhh]

I plan on being there. I have made the last three parties and events. I usually take off that Friday and spend the afternoon watching all the parking lot antics. Can get pretty wild.

it wasnt as good as the last couple of years, they need more competors and more vendors. PLUS I HAD TO PAY $10 FOR FREAKIN PARKIN....BUT ON THE OTHER SIDE IT WAS $5. There was also no dyno.

Actually, other than the delays in the afternoon, it was a good event.
Great turnout. A decent amount of vendors, but I don't remember ever having too many there. The trucks were cool...over 50 trucks lined up for the "test and tune" or just bracket racing..cool to see normal trucks lining up. The crowd was huge...I'm used to going to Import events in Texas and the diesel crowd made the import crowd look tiny. I didn't get to stay for the truck pulls unfortunately...hopefully someone posts pics.

That was a fun event. My cummins was still broke so I took my Dmax instead and spanked up on a comvoy of cummins. lol There were 2 cummins though that would black out all of I-10 and left my mid 13 second truck like it was sitting still.
The event was reall fun though, I loved that old 80's model Chevy half ton with the 12v. That was different and pretty sweet.
