Dealer BS or not?

My girlfriends dad has an 07, and it keeps having a fuel sensor problem. the dealer ship replaced on under warranty, but now says its not warrantied any more because he now has over 36K miles. They say its not part of the Powertrain warranty...is that so, seems like it would be to me?

Seems like it would be under the Cummins engine warranty 100,000 miles!

Which fuel sensor? Level, rail pressure, water in fuel sensor? 2 of those 3 have a Cummins p/n and would be covered under the extended warranty. If its the level sensor in the fuel tank then he is S.O.O.L.

My understanding is that anything that is in or is bolted to that engine is covered. At a oilfield construction company where I used to work, I had a 2003 cummins powered F-650 that would go through lift and injection pumps all the time and they were all covered, up to the 100,000 mile mark.

If truck has history of same repair several times he needs to contact Chrysler.Several years ago that was a non issue as long as documataion of the previous repairs etc.In fact any knowledgeable service manager knows that.Reps sign off on that kinda stuff every day.
