I am finally in the market for a turbo, and like many others I am not sure which one yet. Recently I came across a local classified ad were the guy is selling a JA-S300 turbo from city diesel and it seems to be a reasonable price.
My question is does anybody have knowledge of how this turbo performs? and what other turbo does it compare to too. I was originally looking at a HTB2 series. Any other opinions about turbos are welcome as I am getting close to chosing one and I don't know which one is best suited for my needs.

Its equivalent to a htb2 62 - 12 or 14 which ever housing is on it.

I think with your mods, the 12 is too small. You need a bigger exhaust side if your going to upgrade anyway.

With M4's that turbo is still gonna run hot.

J Lent how do you like the HTT 62/71/14? What elevation are you at? I ask because that is one of the turbos I am looking at.
