Is this Dead Pedal?
So here's my story, and I'm sticking to it:
Truck description should be in my sig but just in case: 2002 2500 Auto 4x4.
The truck runs fine until its "hot" Then at a particular speed about 35-40 with OD cut out, and about 50-55 with OD engaged, I will get no throttle response as I push and wobble the throttle. IF I floor it, it will jump, downshift and take off, almost like its going from no throttle to full throttle.
If I back off the throttle completely for a few seconds and then put my foot into the pedal it will accelerate like normal.
If I am able to be on a flat, or a downgrade at the "trouble speeds" and can get past them, the throttle comes back.
Watching the Pyro, I do not have any abnormal movements when the pedal is acting up, (my thought is if the VP was going out, and it was starving for fuel I'd see it spiking).
Engine doesnt miss, or spudder either.
Reset the APPS but to no avail, all my connections are clean and tight.
Time for an APPS replacement?
(no CEL, and my code reader will not take update to read a CTD)
Please let me know your thoughts, I am going to see if its possible to "clean" the APPS tomorrow
