Dead lift pump
My stock, engine mounted lift pump just died. Thankfully it happened right at the shop i work at. I have a new holley blue pump here, and everything needed to plumb it in and wire it up.
Quick question. Will the holley pump push fuel through the stock dead lift pump?
Thanks!

thanks. I was hoping not to have to do that.
On another note, i can get the intank retrofit kit from the dealer for $446, so i may go that route, even though i know there are reasons that i shouldn't.

Vulcan performance has the pump adapter for 19.95. You will need a -6an ell 3/8 push lock to connect to the rubber fuel hose that is at your canister mounted pump. You need to remove the wire screen on the holley Just unscrew the plate on the holley and take the screen out( that screen does not work well with diesel). I recommend you use the stock pump wire connector as a triger wire for a relay. Connect from battery to relay to holley. Use a NAPA gold 3270 as a prefilter before the pump.
On the frame running from the tank area to the canister there are three lines The black is the brake line the 3/8 is the fuel supply and the 5/16 is the fuel return. Find a place to mount the holley and splice the fuel supply.

So here is the plan. I'll bypass the stock filter cannister until i can get the adapter from vulcan. I have a napa gold 3270 filter to go before the pump. Now i just need a good inline filter to go between the pump and the cp3. Anyone with a Napa part number?
Thanks guys

Just to update this, I plumbed in the Holley Blue pump pushing fuel through the dead stock lift pump, and it actually seems to be working. Took it for a few wide open blasts on PL5 and it worked flawlessly. Before it would die out after a few seconds. Generally the truck is running and driving much better than when it was stock. Very smooth now.
I'll be ordering the bypass adapter from Vulcan tomorrow even though it seems to be working great as it is.
