DD what companies
Lets pick me a clutch sputh bend and any body else
i know i have been ready about clutch companies
i am pretty darn sure i am going with the 3600DD or should i just go with the 3850 and be done with it.
i need to get the input shaft and the fly wheel if i get the 3600 and if i get the 3850 i need to get all that plus the hydro
So all the guys that run the 3600 do you really need the hydro upgrades
and one more thing i tow like 2 twice a year
i am leaning toward the 3600
so help me out thanks

I talked to Peter yesterday about the same thing he said unless your going to be sled pulling no need to get the 3850 its less streetable than the 3600 or the 3250 and the hydraulic upgrade is necessary. Peter feels like the average 500 hp truck should get 3 to 4 hundred thousand miles out of the 3250 DD I typed that out so you wouldnt think I just added two many zeros.

You can usually get by without the hydraulic upgrade with just a 3600 in a 3rd gen but honestly I would just get the hydraulic upgrade incase your hydro's pop on you.
I ran a 3600 for months before upgrading to a 3850 and it took about 3 weeks for the 38 to pop my stock hydro's.

From what I was told I would get a 12 cb. It will be smoother and more streetable and better for sled pullin. It may decrease the quickness of your shifts but IMO it wouldnt be worth gettin the 6 cb if you daily drive it. JMO.

I have ran 2 feramic clutches in my 97 and they were very jerky nothing you cant get used to but a little hard to take off with 20,000 pounds or so and backing up with heavy trailers is a little bouncey. But for daily driving, after a month you or your passengers wont notice it being jerky, youll get used to it and be smooth as glass.

I was loving my 3600 dd and i hope the 2nd set of clutch pads are the 12 button. Still not sure if it is slipping with less than 5k on it or if just my tst is over fueling my setup giveing the appearing of the slipping clutch. On mine if i want to go slow and easy on a take off or around parking lots i have to use 1st gear. Other wise mine beat the heck out of my drive line with it hopping(lack of a better word if wrong). Shift just fine when it is going and can get rowing pretty fast now. Backing with something light seems to be no problem but haven't found something heavy yet. With the light i just have toget it started rooling then just disengage the clutch or it grabbs to quick for something light. Still think it is the right choice just plan on relearing how to drive if you aren't used to any type of performance clutch. SBC stand behind their product with my initial issue of a defective hub on the disks. Now if i can just find out what this issue i will be happy. over all though i don't think you could go wrong with a duel disk and SBC has my vote on pure customer service.

Many people often mistake one issue for another like "my dual disc is slipping" when in fact something else is wrong.
