My cousin has an 01 1500, Dodge.His daytime running lights quit. Is there a relay or some switch that burns out?

Its the DRL module on the drivers fender that failed. Dealer will kick you for over $100 for one. I simply unplugged mine and jumpered the system for my high beam indicator to work.
