DAVE ON THE WAY...finally

well i finally got my head out of my butt and i am ordering my DAVE!!!!! tranny tomorrow morning. Now i know i'll ceach hell for this but wiht my money sitution it was best for me now.....the tranny i'm going with is a full replacement, single disk, and stock shafts for now. I know i should have went billet input and a triple but just not in the cards right now but at least i'll be able to go places. one thing though is i really dont beat this truck so i think a single is the way for my DD...I hope, I hope. so what do you guys think

Good deal man! If you dont do any more mods i think that single might do the trick for ya. Especially if you dont beat on it that much. One good thing about buying from dave is that if the single doesnt pan out and u need to upgrade to the triple, he will refund you the FULL price of the single disc. You will love your new trans though. A lower stall converter really makes these trucks more fun to drive. Let us know how you like it.

I had same situation on my '99 24v with approx 350hp and never had a problem in 105,000 miles towing sometimes heavily, actually I only had a new TC and VB, you have the whole transmission, I wouldn't worry about it unless you really want to destroy it.

Dave's THE Best !!!!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did it set you back? I am looking to go with even more mild mods than you.

Thanks

I mean if you locked it up right off of idle and stood on the throttle it might... but I don't think it would hurt otherwise.
