Has anyone heard anything about these i just found a little info on the site about them but nothing major. I was looking for a compact guage setup that can do EGT, Boost, Trans. Temp, and Rail Pressure. I know it will do the boost, trans. temp, and rail pressure but will it do egt's does anyone know? It uses the OBD port but looks alot like the attitude monitor by edge which i heard they were bought out but that could be just a rumor. Any help id appreciate.

No EGT. If you run a plug in box it will not read Boost or Rail Pressure properly since it will show only fooled values. You will have to look at the specific model to determine if you will get tranny temp.

Dang Qzilla it seems as though you want me to buy a commander it seems as though im heading in that direction. I kinda knew that it didnt do the egts but they were suppose to have egt connector coming out soon didnt know if it was out yet.

They might. I know they said they would have it out pretty soon but, that was at SEMA??? Not sure what all that would entail. EGT's are not like most parameters and are very proprietary and require special hardware to make them work.

It is a reasonably cool idea but, I am not much on OBD2 data although at some point I will be forced to add a bunch of that garbage to some of our stuff just to make the features list longer!

is the comander gonna do tire size in the future?right now thats all thats holding me back

it does measure Catalyst Temp... wouldn't that give you an idea about EGT?

That parameter probably isn't available with a Cummins. There's no sensor anywhere from the exhaust manifold to the tailpipe, so I don't see how it would work.

I thought MSD (or maybe it was another new one?) said they would have an external boost hook-up available?

Edge has the insite as well. more set up towards the diesels and has provisions for EGT readings.

I doubt it. Tire size changes have to be maid with a programmer.

The new prototype commander that qzilla posted a pic. up of awhile back is looking killer. Justin at quad said they are working at this time to get the commander to read serial data like the recon type guages, instead of the analog style readings it is taking.
