Customer Service Impressions with Quadzilla
Customer Service Impressions with Quadzilla
Well, many of you read my first impressions write up a couple of days ago with my experiences with Quadzilla's new Xzillaraider box. Putting some miles on the box, I *thought* I was experiencing some problems with my engine, and PM'd Quad with details. Not only did I get a response back very quickly, this morning I got a personal call from the man himself. We talked thru what I was experiencing and it turns out it was completely normal !!! I was just being paranoid (as this is my first box). I told Quad that I was now comfortable, but Quad still offered to let me bring it in, get it reflashed, hear a '05 Dodge with the box on. I must say that Quad bent over backwards to make sure I had all my questions answered, and felt comfortable about my purchase.
For those of you wondering what I thought was wrong, it turned out to be the noise rattle (or pitch as Quad chooses to call it in the instructions) induced by advancing timing. After conversing with Quad, and other members from this board, I was told that it is completely normal and a byproduct of timing advances. Again, I'm new at this and this is my first box, so any little ping, rattle, knock that I haven't heard before made me nervous.
Now on to the second part of the conversation regarding his gauges that are in developement. I won't tell you what we talked about, but I will tell you that it was enough to convince me to wait to get them, rather than getting some now. In the mean time, I'm going to drive in the 60hp setting until the guagues come out.
Quad, if you read this, thanks buddy. I appreciate the personal attention that you gave to my issues.
