Does anyone know of a company out there putting the 5.9 in a Suburban? I heard there was someplace in Missouri. My wife doesn't like the Excursion :- because it's too big. But she like's the 95-99 Suburban's. I've thought about buying one with the 6.5 and doing a conversion when it pukes up. I love diesels ;D , especially the Cummins and we keep vehicles until they are completely worn out.

There is a company that makes the converson kits, but I thought that it was from california. I have been wrong before. I know that the one that I was was a Calif. truck.
The engine was installed at a 30 degree angle to compensate for the height, and the intakes and exhausts were different.

My girlfriends dad has swapped several 5.9s into chebbies. they were all 3/4 to 1 tons however. under the hood everything fits great and there is actually more room to work on the motor , I dont know if that would be the case inn a sub urb though ???.

dsljunkie, What I was looking at was a 3/4 Suburban 4X4. It would have to be to take the weight. A phone number or e-mail address or web site info, would be great. I'm just wondering about the cost. I know I had heard about putting them in 1-ton dually chevy's before. Everyone please keep feeding me any info that you might have.

Smokey, Thanks for the link, I like the idea of a body swap. That way I get the best axles, trans, etc. I will probably try to go that route, then I can find a Suburban w/bad motor or trans and get it cheaper. Any one else with ideas please keep forwarding them and thanks in advance.

Well, I may have found my solution after looking at some other topics on this site. Came upon this link. http://www.bayerautoinc.com/ Now I remember hearing about a place in Arkansas and California that do this to. Does anyone know who the other companys might be? I could grow to love that Dodge Fullsize SUV.

If youre interested enough to drive that sucker down here he usually does the swap in under two to three days. Pm me if you dont figure something else out or if youre interested in having him do it for you.
