Cummins Jeep

Hello, I have a 1993 XJ 4X4. She is a little tired with 250,000 miles and since it was my dads I don't really want to get rid of it. My Idea was to put a Cummins 3.3L turbo Diesel in it. As far as power and torque, the Cummins is very comparable to the stock 4.0L, however it is only a 4. I am looking at this as a long term (2 years or more) project, but before I start I would like some feedback with respect to custom farications such as engine mounts, drive shaft length, my sanity etc. I love Chrysler/Jeep and I love Diesels, this seems like a match to me and I know that in Europe the XJs had the 2.5L Turbo Diesel and here in north America the Cherokee was offered with a Renault Diesel, so having a Diesel Jeep is fiesable. Please let me know whatever you think. Thanks in advance.

P.S.
I have posted the same question on www.jeepforum.com

Cummins B3.3 Series bolts up nice to a T-400 or T-350 GM trans with the correct SAE Adaptor.
