Of course Cummins employees love the Cummins-powered Ram... when they buy one it helps ensure that they'll continue having a job!

I talked to a few Cummins employees who came by my school about the 600. They said it's basically just a heavy duty engine in a light duty application, and that they get offers from people to buy back 1 million+ mile Rams all the time. No surprise there.

I'll be interested to see how the 3rd gen trucks will hold up with so many miles on them. So far with tales of 161k (I heard of one guy with 190k on his 2003 on another forum), it seems pretty well!

I always say that you can tell what kind of vehicle a company puts out when you drive by the plant and see how many of that brand are in the employee parking lot.

And you can tell how good the company is by the type of vehicles in the parking lot......I've looked for jobs before in the past and drove right by alot of places cause the only thing I saw was a bunch of junk cars, and one or two reall nice ones. I guess I coulda figured out who had the nice ones

o man - you mean the 600 does not have the new Holset HE351 turbocharger with the common valve wastegate??

Are does it???

Guess I will have to go to the dealer truck lot before they open and change out my turbo... if they ask me what I am doing I can just say it's part of Pres. Bush's NEW Republican plan...

MY04.5

...does this number indicate the year model on which these turbo's are installed...04.5? The "600" engine?
