CTM question
Hey all,
I was installing a new radio last night with the interior lights on. While rooting around through the radio hole in the dash I thought I heard sparking and then the lights went out.
Checked every fuse and all good. Noticed today the seatbelt retractors don't operate properly until the truck is started. Vanity lights, glove box and key halo light are also ka-put.
All else seems to be ok, dash cluster, wipers, overhead console etc.
I was wondering if the CTM is a possible culprit here. Read alot of posts and there seems to be info to suggest the CTM didn't control the retractors until '99 so is that even possible?
I've checked the area around where I was rooting and there is nothing loose, or chaffed to cause sparking and all grounds are good. Maybe I imagined it.
Any ideas? Is there a fuse inside the CTM by any chance?
Cheers,
taz

Wow,
Overwhelming responses!!
Problem solved. It was the tricky "IOD" fuse. Didn't want to pull it initially since it was all armour encased like the airbag ones.
Hope this helps someone else in the future.
