Hello
As of today that sounds good only about 4 hours away for us. That would be a short trip concidering the 12 it took to Ky.
If you could please post the:
Where
When
What time
I also need directions. We will be coming up 17 North to 64.
Or I may come up 95 north and convoy up with Dennis [laugh] ;D for the long trip.

I just talked to my wife and asked her if we where doing anything this weekend and her response was "I don't think so and a trip to Va sounds good since she needs new Lotto tickets".
Are you going to be installing the DDIII then?? It should only take us an hour or so. Then you'll see some smoke from both of the stacks. I don't think your clutch will take it though.

See Ya
Chris
(leans over and taps on chips monitor, pssst, hey buddy, how bout some directions)

Well, you got it started now so you're committed. We need some directions from south and from tha Parkway for me. The barbeque sounds real good too.

SmurF: na, got to wait a while on the DDIII's. I fear a clutch will be directly forthcoming and don't have the green backs for that just now. May have to make a trip to Kentucky for the clutch, want the best I can get if I'm going to do it. Got $1300 of personal property tax staring me in the face as we speak.

Top....a few years back I came across a model 1842 Springfield 69 cal, but it was made at the Harper's Ferry arsenal in 1854. It was found in the rafters of an old hay barn up in Middlesex county about 20 years ago, anyway..I restored it and actually fired it with just powder. All of the original parts except the sear spring are there including the ram rod. I can't seem to be able to get an approximate $$ figure on it's value. It's just a wall hanger now over my fireplace. Any ideas?? I know it was a military weapon and there was alot of "War of Northern Agression" activity around here.

Chip

Chip
I have a Blue book here I can try to locate it in. If you have a digital camera send a couple pics, if not I will do a general search on it and should be able to give you an idea. The thing with collectibles though is they are worth what I call relative value. In other words one man might offer 300 dollars another 30,000 dollars. Depends on the collective value to any particular individual who may just lack that rifle to complete a set!
I will let you know tomorrow!
