Crossover Pipe?

I was talking to a couple friends last night about the blow by bottle mess on the front of my truck, and one of them asked why couldn't you run the hose that goes to the bottle into the crossover. One said that it was positive pressure the other said it has to be negative. If it's positive then no you can't but if it's negative then you could. So the question is which way is it? And is there any adverse effects to doing this?

I'm not sure what a crossover pipe is on a CTD...I don't think we have one...in terms of running into the intake...post turbo would be under pressure and not work...pre turbo would be dumping oily mist into your intake...not good.

There have been people who weld pipe onto their downpipe at such an angle that the exhaust carries the vapors down the pipe....you could search for this mod.

Being an inline 6...there is no exhaust crossover pipe like on a v engine.

hope this helps.

I forgot to add....with a few dollars worth of the clear braided hose from the Home depot...about 7 feet...you can relocate the opening of the hose to behind the engine and solve your radiator mess problem...don't use heater hose becase it eventually collapses on itself...

3/4 inch ought to do.

Now I hope this helps!

What I'm talking about might not be called a crossover.... it's on the right side of motor right behind the injection pump, mine is a silver color hooked to a black rubber hose going to a cooler. Does this help?

What you're talking about sounds like the intake horn. Stock you're running probably around 22psi in there, so that won't work.
