Cross your fingers/body shop bound

Well the truck went in to the body shop yesterday, they will have it for a few weeks. I wasn't in any wreck, just wanted a new and fresh paint job. The old one was fading and needed replacement. I bought a Reflexions steel cowl induction hood for it. hope it looks as nice on the truck.
I wanted a new look so they removed all nameplates, molding and I will start new. I am replacing the old 2ND gen nameplates with the 2004 models. The body side molding will stay off and later I will do some pin striping. I purchased all the nameplates through Tenably Chrysler, they had the best web prices and should show-up latter this week. I got the Ram 3500, Dodge, Heavy Duty, 4x4 OFF ROAD, SLT nameplates. I also Frenched in some LED lights in the Buckstop bumper while it was off, and will do the back later. Tomorrow I will take a few pictures of the truck all striped down.

Where did you get the hood?

My paint job is actually holding up okay so far, and polishes up pretty good. One of these days....will take it in for a make-over!

Hhhmm, cowl induction hood, fender flares, bumpers, bed liner material down the bottom section of sides....and some ghost flames with a Dall Sheep's head on the hood!

You'll love the new badges. I did that to mine this past christmas and it really sets the truck apart. I've had people come up to me and ask me about them and how I did them.

I thought it sounded like a neat ideal. I am glade you posted, I didn't think I would be the only one to do that. The look of the new nameplates are attractive, and they are much easier to read. Plus there are a few companies that make styling item that go with them.
The hood I ordered from Stylin Concepts, they are a pretty big truck accessories dealer. I didn't take any pictures but I stopped in and looked around. They all ready had the roof and fenders sanded down, sealed and ready to paint. They will paint the truck in several sections, hood will be last thing painted. My body relay was not bad, I didn't have any rust, dings, scrapes or any other problems except paint. The hood and roof were the worst, they had faded out pretty well. Also the tops of the rear fenders. i just thought we had done everything else to the truck, and we were not going to get rid off it, so why not finish it off with a new paint job. I did order some new tail lights, corner lights, head lights, and all the markers were just replaced. After I get the nameplates on, I just have to get a few pin striping.

Check out my photo gallery and you can see my badges. I mounted the tail gate badges up where my stock badges were. I like the way they look up there vs down low like the 03+ have them.
