cross over steering, is it worth it.

im in the process of fixing my truck steering. at the moment ive done everything i can thing of to tighten up the steering in my truck. i have put on duel stablizers, borgensin shaft, and adjustible tie rod. im going to be replaceing the steering box shortly as well. and i keep hearing about this crossover steering. and i was wondering if any of uses are running this setup? and if so how did you like it?

I haven't done it yet as I don't have enough lift but plan to. Everyone I've talked to loves it. You should have enough room with your 6" but it might be close.

I love it. Would never think about going back. 6" will be just fine for clearance.

Okay guys, sorry for being a noob, but what is "cross over steering"? Is it for 4x4 only? Why is it better? Don't mean to hijack.

I know the ORD kit is a bit pricey, But unless you have access to a nice tube bender, I would go with there kit. Their steering bar has a bend in it now to clear the crossmember better and it puts it on almost no angle. Which you want. I definatly reccomend it running that 6" lift.

I'm in the process of building a CO steering setup right now. With 4" of lift the bar with a bend would be to much unless you were using the stock pitman arm. I'm using a 2" drop PA and there is very little angle. A 4" drop would make it run parallel to the axle which is ideal.

If you're refering to me, it will work just find. I think it would be better with a 4" drop PA though.
