what are the steps to downloading crazy larry? do u go to the download center? and do u have to have a desktop to do this? thanks for any info in advance.

First things first, be sure to take your truck back to it's stock program before doing anything to your downloader. Yes you do need a desktop or laptop with an internet connection to download the program.

And by "Stock" he means totally removing the DL from the trucks ECM, not just selecting stock on the "shift on the fly" screen.

Then go here follow the directions and have fun.

how do u completely UNinstall it? not just the screen. and what kind of cable do u need to hook to computer?

When I upgraded my friends pp I think it was just a standard usb cable.

but it looks like a phone jack but with a black strip in the middle.

This is a "Triple Dog" right? Because that is the only one BD has that can be updated on the internet.

To completely remove the DL go to install and it will ask you to remove from truck or something like that. Don't just hit stock in the permormance levels and then hook it up to your computer. I made that mistake and had to send it back to BDog to get it fixed.

Jfaulkner, not tryin to argue or start anything but I know for a fact that I got on the internet, went to bullydogs site and plugged up a usb cable to a Power Pup, plugged it into the computer and downloaded the latest version BD had out for an 05 powerstroke. It was not a Triple Dog.

You can if the Pup is for an '06 dodge, 6.0 Powerstroke, or a D-Max. I don't think you can do it for the older dodges. At least the site doesn't list any.
