'98 1/2 5.9 149000 miles, she's pulled a 27' 7500 lb travel trailer since purchase. regular oil changes every 3000 miles using Dello oil..... started dripping oil on our last trip back from Arizona.... noticed dime sized drops while at the filling stations, but while parked over night the oil would spread ( not puddle ) to 4" on flat surface.....Why? do i have a compression ring going away or what..
Can you do a cylinder compression test ? .... How ?

Dumping the little bottle when you change the oil?

my engine didn't come with a BOTTLE and hasn't needed one until now!!!
so knowing this....WHY do I now have oil weeping from the crankcase breather? could this be a bad compression ring? allowing pressure to build within the block....or is there something wrong with the breather itself?

If vacaum pump has air leak on vacaum side, the air is pumped into engine crankcase and ultimatelly out the breather. Don't get caught on this.
The test for worn rings is put on dyno under load and measure the CFM of air flow through the crankcase breather.

Mine has always puked some out the tube, about the same amount you describe. Owned it for just over 300k miles.
