cp3 mod, stock turbo mods, head polishing, and rail mods?'s

Ok so I did half of the cp3 mod (the fca part) with the cp3 still bolted to the motor. But I cant for the life of me get that gear off where it sits and got a little frustrated in the process. You guys can fill me in now, you all pulled the whole pump to get at the gear housing. I would swear I read on several places in posts that said they did the whole job in an hour and left the pump in place. I dont know how but if you did u turn a wrench way better than me cause I bought several different t30 bits and none of then fit with it still on the block. I had all of them loose and 3 of the 4 all the way out but I putem back in and decided to pull the whole pump on thursday when I get back from work.

So first off how many bolts are there and what size and what seals the pump, gasket or what? Also I bought 3/16 and 1/8" short (1/16-1/8" grip range) aluminum pop rivets to reinstall in the fca. should I use the longer ones or what? Also I ground my little triangle just like the picture and deburred it REAL good and all was smooth, why would I be getting a flutter at high speeds? Should I have cut lower than the picture and break bottom of it off like some of you did?

Whats the best fuel rail mod, capped? or dual?

Drilled banjo on the cp3 or not?

Also this will put me about as far as I can go with power mods until I can bone up and afford a bigger turbo right? If so is there any noticable gains to be had with the stocker, i.e. different wheel, polishing etc,....?

I havnt yet tried the smoke switch as I didnt think I would see a gain in performance. Is this accurate? Off the line I have good take-off and most people I have read about say they only run the switch on for smoke. I really dont need more of that. Unless it would allow me to be able to blow just as much smoke from sitting still as I can floored in 6th. That might be kind of fun in the drive-thru when they screw up my order for the 5th time.

Is there a write-up on polishing the head, I have tons of grinding supplies as we do alot of that on stainless tanks and I dont mind givin that a shot if I can find the exact specs for optimal intake and exhaust ports before I order a cam/lifters/studs(which hopefully will be soon).

So now I wrote a short book full of ?'s and I know its alot all at once but Ive been thinkin about all this stuff lately. Any help would be great?

They only problem I had with getting any of the bolts out was the fca bolts after I put everything back together, and I did it all with the pump int.

Taking that thing off is making a simple mod way difficult I dont even know where to tell you to start as far as taking it completely off. It was tight getting the bolts out for the gear housing I used a ratchet and the Torx bit once they were finger tight I got rid of the ratchet and used just the bit??. Sorry your having so much trouble. Let us know how it all works out.
