Costco has discount coupon on BFG tires!

With $60 off coupon, All Terrrain KOs out to 200 apiece installed. Pretty good deal. The tire man though I might have to trim the black plastic that hangs below the bumper to get the 285 70 17s to fit. Anyone else have to do this?

The 285's should fit perfect with no adjustment. More than most people even have 305's on with no lift or adjustment. 315's usually need help.

Costco

Costco has great prices and service but unfortunately due to a lawsuit will not mount tires other than the stock size. One way around this they said was to bring in just the rims and they'll mount any size you like as long as you install them initially on your truck. This absolves them of liability and from then on just bring it in and they will re-balance and rotate on schedule. Good sale going on now.

I run 315's on mine without any trimming or leveling. The only time I rub is when backing with the wheel turned all the way to the left.

I just switched from 315s to 285s on Power Wagon wheels. I removed the leveling kit and swapped spacer blocks in rear to lower rear end. Truck is stock height in front and lowered to level in rear. More than enough room, the 285s are stock on Power Wagons.

Unless they have come out with some new "E" range tires that I am not aware of, the BFG 285/70/17 AT KO's are "D" range. However, they are rated at I think 3200lbs which is the same as the stocker 265 "E" range tires. They are an excellent tire.

Here is mine with 285's. The suspension is stock in the rear, but has a 2'' leveling kit on the front. (but basically looks stock since I have 400lbs of bumper and winch) More pics in my gallery.

I've been looking at tires for awhile trying to find the best big tire. I don't want to go to big the is still stock just want to fill in the wheel well more.
I was looking at 285/70/17 but when you compare them to the stock a with a calculator they are not even a 1/2 inch taller. they are wider but not much taller then the stock 265/75/17. so i was wondering would 295/70/17 work? and can you still get it reprogrammed at the dealer for the speedo?

Texascd,

Your truck looks like it's a block long. Very nice. I also see you have great taste in bumpers. I have the Frontier on the rear.
