Computer Question

When I was fueling up a short while back a fellow CTD owner showed me how to cycle the ignition key 3x from off to the first position and it reset the computer or something...he said it would increase my mileage....is this true?

Thanks,

Tom

Key on-key off-key on-key off-key on will show any codes in the PCM. No mileage increase. Hopefully he was misunderstood.

If you did it while driving down the road, it would increase mileage,
as you would be coasting with the engine off while you fiddled with the key.

No, he was mistaken.
