commander gauge on 95 ram, need MAP sensor

Im trying to install a quadzilla commander on my 95 ram so I can put all the gauges in one spot on the dash and monitor them without needing my eyes glued to the pyro.
Only hitch is, the gauge needs a 98.5+ MAP sensor in order to read manifold pressure.
Looks like I can get a sensor for a bit over 100$. My question is, is there an alternative? Anything cheaper from another application that would work?

just in case anyone else searches for 'commander' 'map sensor'.. apparently the commander can read boost pressure 0-100psi if you purchase an upgraded fuel pressure sender and update the software to read from it. The fuel sender I got for my westach is incompatible.
I have an upgraded fuel pressure sensor but I need it for fuel pressure. Going to buy another kit for boost.

Are you trying to use the fuel pressure transducer to read boost pressure?

Don't use an ISB MAP, it won't read boost as high. I just installed a 3rd gen MAP sensor in my 97 for use with the commander. Select dodge 04.5 and up in the vehicle selection menu and your good to go.

http://www.puredieselpower.com/catal...or-p-6059.html is the part I used.

There were plans for a analog to digital sender for guys running twins that make 42+psi of boost ( as high as a common rail MAP will read). But when they quit the commander I heard they gave up on that as well.

If you have a stock air horn you may want to have a bung of sorts welded on. The material is too thin to have blind holes for the mounting screws or to tap good threads in. I made due with some material I had laying around cause I was stuck with my truck in pieces and a bunch of holes in the air horn. Kinda nasty install but I have boost numbers now after 3 years of having a $500 pyro. I'm on commander #2, fuel pressure sender #3 and I've paid to ship it to them 4 times now...

The upgraded fuel pressure sender can apparently be used to measure boost along with a software update. I havent done it yet, this info is from someone at quadzilla.
So your problems were with the unit breaking? or the sensors blowing?
my westach analog boost gauge popped, so that got me going on gauges again.

The older fuel pressure senders were failing. I sent the commander in for the board update required to run the new fuel pressure transducer but it didn't work so it has to go back yet again so they can get things sorted out.
