Cold-Air Recommendations

I recently had some front end damage to my truck and my cold-air was trashed. I really liked my AFE Stg 2, the sound was awesome! I was thinking about trying another system this go around and have been looking at the AEM system but am open to all suggestions. Maybe I should get another AFE?? Just curious if there is newer system out there that moves more air and is cleaner. Thanks guys.

D45, How loud is the turbo rush on the AEM? Close to the AFE?? I do like the looks of AEM's over the AFE.

I'd also check into a ****** Whistler setup. Cost effecient, customizable, and the designer is DTRs "How to" guy. I still enjoy my Afe stg 2.

Thumbs up

Very few intake systems on the market are a "true cold air intake" system! I chose the PSM intake with a AFE torque tube and an amsoil drop in style filter in the stock box. It is a " true" cold air intake. The only other one that comes to mind is a Volant, but is VERY pricey! All the other intakes on the market still grab air form under the hood!!!!! good luck...

When I installed the AEM intake, I also removed the silencer ring.

I can tell you that it is noticeably louder, but it also makes a nice unique swooosh noise, letting you know something is under the hood that is definately not stock. Sounds good in my opinion.....
