Coil Spring Spacer

I'm going to be putting a leveling kit on my truck tomorrow and I'm wondering if any of yall have put these coil spring spacers on before and might have some pointers for me. I know how to do it but are there any corners I can cut to speed it up?? How much did they affect your aliment?? They are 2-inch spacers.

Don't have any experience with them. But, as a general rule of thumb, good idea to get an alignment after playing with the suspension.

should be fairly easy but make sure you have a coil spring compressor on hand for reassembly and get an alignment soon...

If I rent a coil spring compressor from Auto Zone will it hold up to my 3/4 ton coil?? The guy there said it is a universal tool used for cars and trucks.

Yes the rented one will work, I used my 20 dollar set of compressors to do mine. You will want to unbolt the front swaybar end links to give the suspention a little more room to drop.

When I installed this leveling kit on my old truck, I never used a spring compressor. I just dropped the front axle (frame on jack stands). Overall, it took about 2 hrs. If you decide to drop the front axle, make sure you mark the springs w/ white-out, or something similar, as a reference to know where to place'em back. And YES, make sure to get an alignment job after you're finished. PM me if you need anymore help.

Good luck,
Hunter

Yes you can. Daystar makes good products and you might also try E-Bay... Put in Dodge Leveling Kit in the search and you should be able to find one. Or go to

www.roughcountry.com

Thank yall for all of your help on this I wasn't able to do it today but I am planning on doing it tomorrow. Do yall think it would be ok if I drove the truck about 150 miles before I can get it aliment again.

If you follow the directions and line things back up pretty close to your marks, you won't be too far out of alignment but I'd get one as soon as possible.

150 miles won't kill you. Thats not a long enough distance to cause tire wear or damage any steering components.
