Sounds like your talking about a "bucket". The ride shouldn't change but with the axle how it is when you get an alignment it might drive funky. Since these trucks are four linked the pinion angle must be set right or else vibration/breakage will occur. The thing that sucks is that the caster/camber with probably be off with the pinion set to the right degree, therefore causing issues with on-road drive ability. You could get a set of adjustable 4-link bars which might help you out but ultimately, and to do it right, you should(or a shop) cut and rotate the knuckles.

I doubt you have stock arms at 6" of lift.. are yours adjustable? Are they made to accomodate 8" lift? If not you might have to upgrade to another long arm kit that will do 8". I know theyre out there, just cant remember where Ive seen em.

top gun customz sells a nice long arm kit that is not much more than a set of adjustable control arms. the long arm kit will ride much nicer because it will put the arm at less of an angle

If hes only changing the front it should not make a difference when he is driving in 2Hi correct? Only when he is in 4wd would the front pinion angle matter right? Or am I completely wrong?

it says in his sig he has a 6" RCD lift... if that is the case then it has a shortarm/longarm setup similar to the fabtech kit .. my fabtech kit wasn't adjustable so i would doubt the RCD kit is.. BUT... you should be able to put the 2" spacer on with no problems... i have a 7" skyjacker coil with a 2" top gun spacer on top of it .. works fine !

Pinion angle would be a problem as well as the axle location. Youd rub in the back a bit. Ive got some arms made for 3-5" lift and its at 3" so its forward a bit.
