codes

will 0500 or 0234 code cause preformance issues?

0500 is no signal from speed sensor. Can be caused from the fuse being pulled or a messed up speed sensor. 0234 is an overboost code. Hope this helps.

When the overboost code is set the ECM quickly cuts back on the fueling, power, in order to keep the boost down. The Edge comp should be fooling the ECM so that the overboost code does not get set.

i do not have the 0234 right now, but i get it every now and then,so maybe the comp isn't doing its job..... the reason i was asking is my mileage has dropped while i have the code, like 12 mpg. the code went away after my last trip to slc (about 400 miles round trip) so we'll see if the code is causing high fuel consumption on my next trip. i hope that's all it is
