code p 0514 and abs light

Just started up truck and noticed that the abs light on the instrument cluster is on. Truck is showing p 0514 code. What does that code mean? The anti lock brakes are not working. I checked my fuse box and the two fuses that said abs on their tittle looked fine. We did have some wet weather and now it is cold. Im wondering if something got frozen? Its never happened before though.
Anyone have any ideas? If not it looks like a trip to the dealer.
Thanks for the help.

I did some searching about this and I believe that the code is a separate issue. I'm not going to worry too much about it right now.
The abs and brake light are on and the anti lock brakes are not working. I tested on a icy road. All the searching I did no one that had the lights on said if the anti lock was working or not. What can cause this? I checked the fuses under the hood on the driver fender. They look fine. Are there other fuses that I can check? Is the braking system covered under the drive train warranty? I have 70,000 miles on this truck.

Stealman, it sounds like you have two or more problems occurring at the same time. The P0514 is no problem, there is a tsb and a reflash of the computer is required. Look at this thread https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...66&postcount=6 You should also use the search feature and just enter "P0514". Try it both by threads and posts, lots of info.

There are no codes showing for the abs. But they do not work. Anymore info? I'm pretty sure the two fuses I checked where good #6 is a 40 amp. I didn't take it out, but just looked at the top. Is that how those big ones are checked? The other fuse is #35 a 10 amp. It looked fine. Are there other fuses? Possibly in the cab?

I had a wire leading to the ABS sensor on the right front that was rubbing on the rotor and it threw a light. Replaced sensor. All is good now.
