Code 46?

My check engine light came on today, so when I got home, I cycled the key and pulled the code 46. Checked my junk shop manual and all it tells me is that charging system voltage is too high.

Would it be a Regulator or an alternator or neither. How can I test the regulator?
thanks!

Check the charging voltage first.

The PCM is the regulator.
