clutch ?'s

The clutch in my truck has been slowly going out over the past year. I smoked it about 6 months ago towing a flatbed trailer and some quads in the sand, let it cool and its been doing fine untill now. I can slip it on command now all I have to do it put my right foot down . anyways what would you guys recomend for a replacement and would I be able to replace it myself? or should I leave it to a shop? btw its an 01 HO 6 spd with exaust intake, I'd like to put a chip on it later, but the biggest thing is the 10 inch lift and 38's... its a daily driver for me and I dont race it, the most I tow is a small flatbed trailer with 2 quads on it, so I dont think I need something extreme... thanks for any help in advance

hrm. thats not to bad, how about the install, does it require any special tools or anything like that? I've put clutches in before, just not in a diesel I also noticed theres a 12 1/4 to 13inch clutch and flywheel conversion... is this something that would be worthwhile for me?

Nothing special as far as tools. The conversion kit is awesome, thats pretty much all we sell. You get a larger clutch plus a new flywheel so you don't need to worry about resurfacing yours.

He has a HO, he’s already got a 13in with a 1 3/8 input shaft. Just get the disk, pressure plate, through out bearing, and pilot bearing. Have your flywheel turned at machine shop.

Be forewarned that the nv5600 is heavy. Make sure you have a heavy duty trans jack. There around 560# I think.

Dodgezilla04 is right! My #'s included the tranfercase and fluids. But be careful with it, #360 is a lot of weight!
