Clutch questions

I've always driven standards. I test drove an 04 standard (6sp) and didn't like it... The pedals were non-adjustable length (baser model truck). The clutch pedal had such a long stroke I had to sit closer to the steering wheel than I like, and my right knee felt like it was just below the dash... oh yeah... I'm short...

So... my question is even without the power adjust, is there a way to adjust the pedals, or do I take standard trucks off my list???

Wouldn't hurt to have the steering wheel a few inches closer to the dash as well... I think that one is just what it is though... I don't like airbags being that close to my chest though...

Not sure if you could engineer or modify something on the clutch pedal arm to make it more comfortable for you. If the arm is still metal, like the older trucks, I would think you could heat and bend it, or cut off and weld it back together at a higher position. Putting a block on the pedal pad may be a possible last resort too, but as your post sounds like you are still in the stages of choosing a truck to buy, you may want to look strictly for trucks that have adjustable pedals.

My legs are kinda short, and I have to move the seat one notch closer to the steering wheel than what is comfortable, to make the clutch leg comfortable.

Glad I'm not alone in the problem...
