Clutch problem

Well I pulled last night And now something wierd is going on. I tried to pull in 4th low as for that is what worked well the last time I pulled. This track was a different animal (VERY STICKY)!! The truck just did not have enough power.
So, now my clutch is making a grinding sound when fully engaged (pedal all the way pushed in). I adjusted the clutch all the way in and the noise is not as bad. I did slip it to about 35ft but the truck didn't have the power or momentum to keep it going. When I drove home Shifting is only a little thougher and it is still grabbing very well. Please help

wELL I JUST DON'T GET IT AND i GUESS KNOW ONE ELSE DOES EITHER . Talked to south bend and they said don't worry about it. I'm fine with that but this noise is nasty and I can't really ignore it. I haft to push the clutch in all the way to start the and th grinding is loud. What could this be? I there something bent? I have the slave adjusted for the shortest throw and it is kinda hard to drive like that. I need some help? The best way I can put it is its like it is over engaging the clutch. Other than that I am lost
Peter told me to jerk the tranny .................. again

Could be something like the throw-out bearing or maybe you tore part of the friction surface off...unlikely, but who knows,

Sounds like your screwed up the hub on the disk(s). I had the same thing on mine at 300mi. Mine was a manufacturing defect. I would step on the clutch and it would sound like you were grinding gears and wouldn't shift and wouldn't really disengage. They told me not to worry about to but i didn't talk to peter as he was taking a well deserved vacation. I went back to my installer and he knew something was wrong and found it. I wouldn't think anything you did caused with based on what you described but SBC will have to decied that they are the experts.

I would pull the tranny and inspect the clutch for any issues.
It could have a bent disc or something to that effect or maybe even a collapsed finger or springs.

Keep us posted...

Pulled the tranny Tonight (3rd time this year)! I'm not very happy. All the plates look like they got very hot. In both friction disk It looks like somebody dragged a pin across the buttons. The flywheel Has a bunch of hot spots on it. I just don't get it. Also there are signs of wear / play in the hubs. I don't think I slipped the clutch that bad while pullin for it to look like this but I could be wrong."Any clutch will get super hot while sled pullin." The friction disks Are not glazed at all. I'm going to talk with peter on thursday to get to the bottom of this. I hope he can help me out because i am very broke right now.
