Cluster questions / flasher control

Came up with a few questions this week I wanted to post.

1. I was reading the FSM and it looks like on manual transmission trucks there is an upshift indicator in the cluster. I've never seen that thing, am I missing something?

2. Has anyone replaced the incandescent gauge illumination bulbs with LED bulbs and what were your results?

3. Last, are our turn signals controlled by a BCM and when switching to LED turn/park bulbs is the only way to get them to flash properly with a resistor?
