Clicking sound from 0-40mph?

Clicking sound from 0-40mph?

When I let off the gas, i hear a ticking sound when slowing down. It kinda sounds like its doing it every revolution of a tire, but cant see anything wrong with the tires? Any gut feelings?

As silly as it sounds, I've had the same thing and it was a rock stuck in the tread.

Check your u joints also.

Had the same issue twice. Both times it was the front axle u-joints.

i already had one bad on the rear, dealer fixed under warrenty, what does this usually cost to repair?

Check your wheel weights. The type that clamp on to the edge of the rim sometimes come loose, and slide back and forth with each tire rotation.

That happened to me with a '84 T-Bird. Drove me nuts trying to figure that one out.

If I recall correctly, a shop wanted like $250 to do a rear drive shaft U joint. I had the time, so I just did it myself.

If it ticks mostly while turning, it is likely a front axle U joint, and repair is likely to be quite a bit more since removing the wheel bearing can be a bugger.
