It sounds like it is coming from the steering column.

Where is the clock spring? Could this be making the noise?

The noise happens when the truck isnt moving. Only when I turn the steering wheel. It is something in the steering column

the piece that turns off the blinkers will click when you turn the steering wheel. you probably dont hear it when driving because of the added noise.

Might be the plastics surrounding the Steering Wheel rubbing while you turn, or catching?

I need to do some more looking. It sounds like something is loose inside the column. I just dont want to have to take the steering wheel off. I might just wait untill it gets worse.

You can remove the shroud around the base and maybe get a good look around in there, not too big a job.
