Clear coat

One more question ,regarding clear coat.What clear coat product would be a good chose.Last car,I used Valspar.It was ok.A few guys like dupont clear.Has anyone used the Bernardo Ecenarro(MS Urethane)clear?The shop I'm getting the RM base said the body shops like this product.

Personally I like to stick with a product line all the way through. When you start to mix product lines you risk the chance of failure, and no one will back you up. I painted euro cars for 11 years and have used almost everything out there. All the newer clears are good, but some of the new Spies Hecker stuff is about the best.

I'm with chromegrill, it may cost a bit more, but stay within the line.

Clear Coat

I've used the Spies Hecker Base coat systems and have always used Transtar Clear coats over them with absolutely no problems whatsoever. Thats not to say other brands would not have problems though. The transtar clears are easy to apply and have an outstanding finish.
