clacking front end

I had the whole front end gone over and everything checked out ok, but when I'm going down a bumpy rode it sounds like the spring shackles on a leaf spring suspension are sloppy I don't know what it is but it sounds like the whole dang left front wheels going to come off.

You sure it's not the wheel simulator cover? I took off my wheels simulators recently one at a time and drove it until the noise went away. I would hear it especially when driving with shrubs or a wall along side of me.
Mine was the driver front wheels simulator. Sounded like a bad bearing or axle crumbling through bumps and turing streets.
Good luck~!

Bottom shock nut often loosens causing a rattle or clack.

Control (trailing) arms could be loose as well.

I've had both happen on my truck.

mine were the lug covers, for my welds so i felted the back of the caps, and it went away. it could be the shock or sometimes if you have aluinium rims that are not one piece the two pieces the outside ring and the center that goes on to axle can flex and it causes it to click. thatis normaly when the rim is going out.we got a set of american racing rims that did that and we sent them back and they said that is what happens but the outside of the rim was wobbling because of how heavy the engine was and they refunded me once they saw that.

It's probably your lower shock mount as phox pointed out. They've got to be really tight to keep them solid.

if your lugs are covered by a cover like the ones weld uses when the aluninium rim flexes the cap which is aluminium doesnt move so they rub on each other which causes a click noise. left turn right wheel flexes from weight and force on it and click click click until i straighten out. but its only if you have caps that cover the lugs.
