Christmas Shopping

Who's finished?

I finished this morning. Usually, I don't start until the 23rd. What a relief! I hate shopping. I'd rather throw those undecided slow pokes outa may way in the mall than try to dodge (no pun intended) around them.

Now I need to con some young lady that I know (or don't know - whatever works) to assist in wrapping. One can use only so many gift bags.

I think my sister inlaw is a good candidate. She loves me. Now, I'm thinking.

On edit: It wasn't all bliss this morning though. I got home, parked in the garage, unloaded the two bags and set on the quad trailer, pushed the door lock, closed the door, and crap! I locked my keys in the truck. Where's my spare truck key? In the house of course. Where's my house key? On the key ring in the truck of course! Darn. Now what to do? I had my cell, so I called my automobile club. Of course the answer was up to a four hour wait. So, here I am locked outa my truck and house, freezing my butt in the garage at -24 Cesius. Good thing I was out of the wind. Hey, hey, I'm in the garage...fire up the propane heater, have tools, and stiff wire.........pry open the top of the door and push lock open with wire. Half hour and vehicle entry complete. I need to now fix the weather stripping. Oh well, at least I'm not an icicle waiting for spring to melt me.

Shopping

I finished up right around November 28th. We went out and bought a few more things (meaning she picked out, I bought) and all that. I have one thing left for her, which is paided for, just waiting for it to come in. She really loves this one artest and her paintings, and her book just came out so I'm having it signed for her so it's extra special to her. So I'm hoping it'll be the one that gets her all teary eyed and gets me what I want (no pun there either)

Wrapping presents isn't that bad. It's the same as changing a tire, you fold the top two corners down, then the two upper side corners, then the lower two side corners, then the bottom up (just like an 8 lug wheel) If all else fails, tape can hold anything together

I need to start. The wife has most of the other family members done, maybe a few left to do. I am not the type to be out a few days before, but also never get it done without a little undue duress from my procrastination.

Finished, did it all right here online. It would take a gun to my head to get me into the local malls this time of year.

Shoppin? What's that? Is that thing you do when your not a broke college kid who keeps spending all his money on his truck? My family will have to wait until after the new year to get their presents. Mainly because I'm in the middle of semester exams and as soon as that's done I gotta move the folks so I ain't got time to shop.

It's far too early for Christmas shopping. Shoot, it's barely December.
