This is my first disel. 04.5 2500 4x4. I want a downloader etc. that will give more torque for towing and better mpg would be a plus. I got the truck about 3 weeks ago and have been on here reading like crazy. It dosent seem yall have a favorite product, there is so many products and price ranges to choose from.
I am thinkinking of going with the banks otomind, or bully dog power pup. But the smarty is on the list also. So how did each of you choose to spend your$$$. Iam lost!

fill out your signature with details of your truck and welcome to DTR... you will find a wealth of info here, but I caution you... I was just going to do a downloader...... well over 15K later......

I would recommend the BDTD or the Smarty... if you have an Auto, keep it on the lower settings (less than 80hp)... stick.... your pretty safe up to 100 hp.

There are plenty of used downloaders etc.. in the classifieds... I may have a BDTD in there too.... I'm not advertising it though

If you are going to run any chip, do yourself a favor, get guages, because I don't care how many times you say you will not play hard... the diesel bug bites and you can easily tear something up.

Im gonna vote Quadzilla! they have some good options for power, guages, and Qzilla is very helpful, even if you dont have quad products!
